Day 1 + 2 of The California RoadShow

If you’re going to San Francisco, keep sunglasses and a cap on your head. It was warm Monday and Tuesday — 80’s at least.
And our interviews were pretty hot, too.
We booked Monty Roy of VideoCodeZone into our interview schedule at the last minute. He is President of a website that supplies “video codes” — the tags you need to embed videos on your social network pages, blogs, etc. You can quickly search for music videos, then grab the corresponding codes for them. It’s a very useful site and has a dynamic, growing user base. Monty talked about why he uses Direct Media Exchange and — luckily — never had to fuss with other more complex systems before using us. Kinda like never having to have your heart broken!
Our other interview slotted for the day was Ransu Salovaara…who flew in from Finland just to be filmed! (Well, ok…he didn’t fly in just for us.)
The truth is that we were lucky enough to catch him between his frequent trans-continental business trips; it was a great opportunity to sync up with his schedule and interview him. And let’s face it — after the featured publisher article appeared with his cool blue goggles, we were curious to hang with him and check out the real Ransu. Extreme as his sports are, he is quite down to earth. It was a blast chatting with him about monetizing his sites via his company SportSyndicator.net and utilizing Direct Media Exchange as the best way to do it.
R and R since we arrived:
Just after arriving on Monday, we waited in the rental car line, set-up the studio, confirmed our interview schedule with the candidates, and finished other duties. With a little spare time on our hands, we cruised over to the coast where we took in a bit of sun and food. And, of course, a quick surf thanks to wetsuit/surfboard rental and daylight savings time! It was some of the best conditions that Joe (East Coaster) and I (West Coaster) had ever seen.
After interviews wrapped up Tuesday afternoon, we visited Fisherman’s wharf. It’s a little touristy, but it’s still a hoot to walk around and watch the seagulls gliding over the fishing boats…and the tourists eating deep fried calamari, chowder, or candy. I, myself, am a sucker for chocolate coated toffee.
San Francisco has everything…including Direct Media Exchange publishers!
Two more days of the Roadshow, and we return to dear old Oregon. What could happen tomorrow? Stay tuned…

Vince/Biz, you guys rock! Thanks for the prompt update of your road trip, it’s nice to see our publishers’ faces and how they utilize the product we’ve worked so hard on.
I look forward to see the videos. Keep up the good work.
Cheers!
P.S. Does Ransu have any more of those cool blue goggles?

Well, he didn’t bring the goggles through customs.
The Roadshow: It was exciting. It was a little draining.
I picked up a cold in SF, too. Besides, that it was a blast for Joe and I.
I like meeting our publishers face to face!
