RMX Tool Focus: The Community Tab

What’s this tab do?
Vince Panero (Community Education Manager): The Community Tab is the RMX user’s portal for information on RMX Direct:
· Insider tips on how to use RMX Direct
· A blog that will focus on things relevant to RMX users and the industry on online advertising
· A forum to discover Who is using RMX Direct and how they are maximizing their revenue
· How-To Videos (Coming soon…)
· Much more…
And look for our monthly “Featured Publisher: a closer look at the webmasters and content providers out there who use RMX Direct.
We see it as a great way to share with other users how leading RMX Direct users are utilizing the Right Media exchange to successfully monetize their website.
Why is it important?
VP: The Right Media Exchange and RMX Direct are about an open market. They’re about fairness and transparency. We’re not here to lecture you from on high—that wouldn’t be walking our talk. This forum, the blog, the support…it’s important to us to give you a home to talk with others who are in the same boat. TJ and I have been webmasters/blog owners ourselves so we know the kind of issues you might face.
What role did you play in the Community Tab’s development?
T. J. Shionyi (Community Education Manager): Let’s just change my name to “Antithesis” for the sake of this question. It was my goal, but not mine alone, to come up with as many new and unique community enriching ideas (the majority of them have yet to be released, while another ton are laying on the cutting room floor) as I could. I did this hoping that over time these community creations would solidify our reputation as an efficient, powerful, fun, envelope pushing, and most importantly human, ad marketplace.
Given that the whole concept of an open ad marketplace is so fresh and innovative, I felt that the best way for participants to truly understand it was to encourage and facilitate open lines of communication amongst themselves and RMXD’s admin. Having a community of open voices and opinions generates noise with Vince and me playing the roles of mediators- addressing issues that arise, fielding input and making sure that RMXD admin responds to both the pros and cons accordingly.
What’s your insider hint for using this tab?
TJ: TALK. TALK. TALK. The more voices and opinions that we have floating around out there, the better that RMXD becomes. This makes publishers the primary line of defense, second only to our admin. Problems, suggestions and general thoughts that are put out there are the fuel of this entire Exchange. Let me drive this point home: This is your exchange; help grow it by finding as many ways put your stamp on it as you can.
